Very quickly, as a matter of calm urgency – that may or may not be an oxymoron, happily it is too warm here in London for me to care – tickets for a second night for the Henry Fonda Theater‘s Music Box night have now officially gone on SALE! Between you, me and the 12 other people that read this babble, you can get your tix on HERE!
Be quick, USA tickets are going quicker than Usain Bolt on a bowl of Sugar Puffs. Selling out like lightning.
Mumford HQ loves television. Yeah, you read me, I heart TV. I generally try and squeeze in up to nine hours a day. Swear down blud, believe. On a good day I’m literally looking at a double-figure sitting. Put it this way, anything less than three is a really bad day.
I’ll watch anything: soaps, comedies, dramas, documentaries, docu-drama-comedies, cartoons, reality, anything. Can’t get enough of it. My favourite is probably comedies. One of my favourite comedies was Frasier. Love Frasier, total japes, Niles is one of the finest comedic creations of our time. I also love cartoons. The Simpsons, somewhat predictably, is my personal choice. I’m a sucker for a cameo – got to love those guest voices. So Kelsey Grammar voicing one of the best characters EVER in the Simpsons – Sideshow Bob, natch – is pretty much the televisual equivalent of me having two massive cakes and eating them at once. While Miranda Kerr mops my heavily-sweating brow. Nom nom.
Mumford & Sons are playing their own sideshow at this year’s Telluride Bluegrass Festival. NightGrass at Bluegrass sees bands performing at the main festy take a little time out later in the day to play at the beautiful* Sheridan Opera House, and The Sons are doing just that on the 18th of June! Magical! Line-up!
Go on, stick two fingers up to Krusty and take the night off, you deserve it. Get your tickets HERE!

*I say ‘beautiful’, I’ve never been. Send me a postcard.
I am – contrary to the controversial scrawlings of Xerox George on the walls of Mumford HQ’s latrine – not, ‘a fat town crier’. Nor, just for the record, do i have ‘the hair of a wet hippo’. You’ll get yours George, I know where your Nan lives – I am, in loose truth, an announcer of great subtlety and charm: inter-weaving some of the finest threads known to language into life’s great written-word tapestry.
No, not for me the bell and bellow.
Except of course, when announci… Okay, not announcing, you’ve read this on a hundred other sites, in a hundred other ways already, so let’s go with confirming… When confirming that our beloved Sons will be palying this years Glastonbury! *Ding-Dong Ding-Dong* Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Mumford and Sons Are Playing Glastonbury! *Ding-Dong Ding-Dong*
Please do note the change in font colour above on the ‘ding dong’s’; went with a brassy-bell yellow to serve as a kind of visual aid. Nice touch? Well I thought so anyway…
I don’t need to tell you how amazing the Eavis family’s festival is, nor how hard and tirelessly they work ensuring it remains amazing year in, year out, do I? I shall instead slap you about the face with these facts: Friday 25th June 2010. Mumford & Sons. John Peel Stage. Boom. An. Ting.
This is going to be very, very special.
Well hello. How are we? Well, I trust? How’s the love life? The romance? The heart swells, the breaks and the aches? Kissed any frogs lately? Heard any songs, by a toad lately? No? Then lend me your lug-holes friends, ’cause all that is grey will be golden come this *EDIT: It’s live NOW!, for that is when The Sons’ special Song, by Toad session goes live for viewing pleasure and all out for your love…
Recorded one beautiful day in Edinburgh during last months tour, the boys played a few songs and engaged in chatter with the lovely gents that are Toad and the resulting results will be airing HERE by way of the tongue-in-cheeky-named ‘Toadcast’!
For those not in the know, Song, by Toad began as a rather fine online musical-muck spreader before dipping it’s muddy toe in the murky pond that is the record industry and transforming from simple blog-spawn to full-grown amphibious label; so pucker up and plant one on this toad’s behind and show some support for their passion and endeavour, for they are good people.
Acting as bait today, we have this rather splendid collection of snaps… Enjoy!

…Panini presents: The Earnest Muso Collection 2010. Collect them all! Shiny band emblem in every pack!
That is a rather beautiful room, isn’t it?
Let’s get the important stuff out of the way early on in the game: did anyone actually see the Easter Bunny? No? Sigh, then the search goes on. Though with each passing year my faith in the furry fellow disappears further and further down a dark rabbit hole. Show yourself to the doubters! I believe!
I don’t believe. I’m being facetious. Acting the fool, playing for the LOL’s. I’m also rather neatly segueing into another festival announcement, blink and you’ll miss it… You may already have… Let’s press on…
Spring’s done, finished, over. Well, at least in my mind it is, but then, I have the attention span of a… Nope, I’ve gone, I’m bored… I’m thinking about Summer, a Summer that will now see Mumford & Sons playing for the LOLlapalooza Festival*! This is – in-keeping with the tenuous theme of yoof speak – AMAZEBALLS**!
Taking place over the weekend of the 6th – 8th August, in Chicago‘s Grant Park, this year’s line-up is nothing short of spectacular and can be seen in full HERE!
Advance and ‘Early Bird’ tickets have already sold out, but fear not, you can still get your chocolate-stained digits on – ‘Tardy Bird’? – tickets HERE! Ooh, VIP tickets still available if you want to live the D.R.E.A.M!
Do not ‘um’ and ‘ah’ on this one, it’s got SOLD OUT all over it…
