Last Sunday marked the final show of Mumford & Sons’ first ever South African tour. Thank you to everyone who came out to these shows – and big love to our tourmates The Very Best, John Wizards, Beatenberg, and Baaba Maal, who helped make it such a special one for us.
From selling out the tour through to sharing the stage with so much South African talent, it’s been an incredible experience exploring this beautiful country with you all. In celebration of our time here, we’ve rounded up some of the best shots from the road (thanks to the brilliant David East).

As Mumford & Sons’ first ever South African tour makes its way to Pretoria, please note the following when getting ready for the band’s shows at the Monument Amphitheatre this weekend.
1. Updated Stage Times
As stage times have been updated, please arrive early to the venue for both Saturday and Sunday’s shows. The new timings are as follows:
14:00 – Gates
16: 40 – The Brother Moves On
17:30 – John Wizards
18:30 – The Very Best
19:30 – Beatenberg
21:00 – Mumford and Sons ft. Baaba Maal
2. Car Parking and Shuttles
Please make sure you arrive nice and early to enjoy the site and to get parked up and in, in time.
All parking and travel information can be found via Hilltop Live.
Everyone is encouraged to buy parking tickets for the venue, or park and ride from the various available stops. Once the parking tickets have run out for the Monument, parking will be available at Fountains Valley, with a shuttle bus to the site.
3. Prohibited Items
Please refrain from bringing any of the following items with you to the venue:
Weapons, bottles, containers of any nature • Long wallet chains or spikes of any nature • Professional Cameras, Video Cameras, Sports Action Cameras (GoPro) Selfie Sticks, Tablets or Audio Recording devices • Objects that can be used as projectiles such as Glow Sticks, Compact Discs, Balls of any nature, Fireworks or Flares • Laser Pointers, Large Banners or Posters • Umbrellas • Hoverboards • Drones • Chairs of Any Kind • Blankets
There is no lock up for these items on site. As such, we may either refuse admission, or confiscate the item.
These shows have been incredible so far, and we can’t wait to close out the tour with you all.
